The concept is interesting. The book is simple enough to keep my 2yo's attention and my 6yo's. My 2yo was able to pull the pulley hard enough for the string to pop out of the handle which took some needles and making more knots to fix. We also repeatedly pop the handle part of the inclined plane out past the spring portion, but easy-ish to fix. Many of the spring based things seem a little too strong. Despite having to fix a few things, we all love it.
My 16 mo old loves it. While they might not fully understand, they are super curious and love to play with each page. Luckily, each page is durable. I am excited to see as my child gets older and how they can learn from this book, thank you!
This Book is an excellent teaching tool for children of all ages (plus their parents!). Quality craftsmanship and a great way to show kids at an early age about simple machines and how they work.
“Read Simple Machines again!” “That’s a pulley!”
Even though the book was slow and coming it was worth the wait. I'm assuming that hacky labs was the distributor and it was delivered in perfect shape
